| Situated on the equator between Colombia and Peru, Ecuador is the second-smallest country in South America. Don’t be fooled though – despite being around the same size as the UK, it is filled with some of the most awe-inspiring flora and fauna on the planet, and is home to four very distinct and very beautiful areas of terrain. Not only can you explore the peaks of the Andes and the jungles of the Amazon, you can also visit the stunning beaches of the country’s Pacific coastline, and the breath-taking conservation area that is the Galapagos Islands.
