"I loved the school, but I would suggest that more emphasis be made on the need to have a basic grounding before you go. The course can be quiet stressful if you go as an absolute beginner because the teachers do not speak English.
Genova is an ideal place to spend a month or so. It is just under two hours by train to Milan/ Cinque Terre. Theres plenty to do with boat trips, the Aquarium, designer... and high street shopping and many bars and cafes. I stayed during the months of September/ October and the temperature was still really great, hovering around 25-30 Degrees.
The accomodation was ideal for my needs, I choose to live in a shared flat, I think this is the best way to learn because it means you always have someone to study with/ socialise with.
What I enjoyed most about my trip is that on my course I meet students from Sweeden, Japan, Poland, Germany, Turkey, Isreal & France. At one point we all went for drinks and I sat there thinking "When would this ever happen anywhere else?! What an experience!" "
(Abigail Parker, October 2008)
