The group course runs throughout the year at all levels from beginners to advanced. Classes focus on the four main language skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing, combined with aspects of local culture. This course is recommended for those who wish to learn the language at a steady pace and attracts students of all ages and backgrounds. Classes usually take place Monday to Friday in the morning, although in high season they make take place in the afternoon.
Dance classes are three times a week one to one, or twice a week in groups, with each lesson lasting one hour in the new dance centre La Tounée in Cadiz. For bookings of either 1 or 2 weeks then the dance lessons are one to one with the dance teacher. When booking 3 or more weeks then dance lessons will be taken in groups. These lessons take place year round with and all groups are with local Spanish people who also like to practice their dance steps!

The best time to visit Cadiz is from May until October when the city enjoys mild days and evenings. Temperatures range from the mid 70s to the mid 80s during this time and the driest months are July and August.
Complementary activities consist of film showings, lectures, discussions; information on Flamenco, the famous Cadiz Carnaval, etc.….these are included in the price of the course.
Out-of-school activities include visits to others parts of the province of Cadiz, excursions and trips around the hill top white villages, wine routes, the coastline, Seville… as well as gastronomic workshops, parties, barbecues on the beach. These activities are not included in the price of the course.

The selection of suitable families is also rigorously controlled so that as well as the high quality of your accommodation, you will be able to immerse yourself in everyday Spanish life and understand the defining characteristics of Spanish families. This is a great way of progressing rapidly in Spanish; to practice what you have learnt in real social situations.
The families we choose are informed of the level of Spanish the student has. They are asked to use gestures or to point out objects they name when necessary and are conscious of the need for the student to feel comfortable and happy in their learning environment. The student will learn to understand the way of life and customs of Spanish families as well as developing linguistic skills.
The student should try to integrate him or herself in order to benefit fully from this experience.
A supplement for high season is applied (June 29 to October 2) |

Flats shared with other students from the school have been selected by our housing officer and are within the historical old town, within easy walking distance of the school. All the shared flats have 2, 3 or 4 bedrooms andwith the following amenities:
- Fully equipped kitchen, furnished with all the utensils and equipment necessary: fridge, washing-machine, microwave, hob and oven, cutlery, crockery and pots and pans
- Iron and ironing-board
- Television
- One or two bathrooms
- Living room with dining area
- Bedrooms are cleaned before new students arrive
- All communal areas are cleaned before new students arrive
You will only be able to choose a double room when two students or a couple sign up together. |
