Morelia"The school is absolutely excellent; there is a strong concentration on grammar, but it is taught beautifully in small, bite-sized chunks, which make the programme very manageable. I learned more in 5 weeks than I did in 5 years in England. Of all the Spanish schools I’ve been to, this is the best. At no point during the programme did I ever feel confused or out of my depth; the teachers do a great job of making sure you don’t feel small or stupid when you make mistakes... instead they steer you towards the right answer and explain it clearly.
Morelia is charming, with a very traditional "Spanish-style" downtown, with cathedrals, galleries, theatres, cinemas and covered markets. It’s small enough that you can walk to most places, yet big enough to have a really dynamic energy. I would recommend visiting the bars in the early evening - there are literally hundreds of extremely cool, contemporary bars hiding away in the side streets and on the roof terraces, which give fantastic views over the city, and of the architectural gems.
I’m not a hugely social person, but I made lots of really close Mexican friends during my trip... Travelling with them has been the highlight."

"Highly professional run institute in a great athmosphere with perfect service for the students, perfect teachers and perfect host family
Highly recommendable!!! Morelia is a very beautiful city with a lot of history and interesting buildings. I reccommend everyone to learn something about Mexicos history in advance to get a better understanding of the speciality of this place. I stayed with a very nice host family near the city center. I liked the family athmosphere and the possibility to speak Spanish after school."

"It is very organised and welcoming school. Teachers are very nice, and they know their job, and they speak excellent english. Morelia is good balance for eg. big Mexico-city, good place to study, and there's very European atmosphere in the city. I stayed in host family, they were also very nice people, I felt like part of family. Staying in family is also very good for studying and practising new language. The whole experience was great, I think I enjoyed most meeting mexican and learning about their culture and of course some spanish -week is definetly too short for that!"

"I was going to fill in the evaluation sheet that I printed off the computer but I will let you have the details now which saves me having to send the form in!! Anyway, I loved the school and was sorry to leave. I found the other activities organised by the school very good too. I particularily enjoyed the trips with Eugenio as guide as he is very imforative and knowledgeable. I also went to the conversation classes, which were a bit daunting at first particularily as there were always many more spanish students (learning english) than english speakers.
My Spanish improved enormously, especially as I could not speak very much at all when I got there. I can now understand most of what is said, find the talking a bit of a struggle sometimes to remember the tense, the person and the vocabulary - but certainly feel more confident in being able to get what I want and travel alone. In fact with some travellers we speak Spanish together as it is the easiest common language - there are a lot of french people here in Mexico for some reason and I find it confusing to try and talk french with them and keep mixing up the words between spanish and french so it is easier to just talk spanish!!
Anyway, I will not ramble on any more. I would be happy to take another course with cactus - maybe another Spanish course or a french course so I can get back my french which has been lost somewhere in the spanish!!"
