When you enrol onto the IELTS course, the teachers will equip you with the skills, techniques and knowledge you need to excel at this exam. The preparation course includes a mix of:

* 20 lessons of General English + 8 lessons of IELTS preparation + 7 sessions of structured study
* General English lessons: These lessons help you to develop the 4 essential language disciplines of reading, writing, listening and speaking as well as improve your grammar and vocabulary
* IELTS Preparation lessons: These lessons are highly focused exam preparation classes that cover all sections of the IELTS exam in detail and teach you the verbal skills and test-taking strategies required for success in the exam
* Supplementary Structured Study sessions: Your personalised structured study plan will enable you to sharpen your exam technique and continue to work on essential language skills. You will have full access to our extensive library of online exercises, course books and computer simulation tests.

* Entry level requirements: Intermediate-advanced
Certificate
All students studying for 5 or more weeks will be monitored regularly and progress will be recorded in an Individual Student File. The Individual Student File will show how each key English skill has developed and pinpoint the areas of language training which can be improved upon.
At the end of IELTS course, students receive a Certificate of Achievement detailing the level of proficiency in English achieved. The certificate, together with your Individual Student File, documents your language achievements and can be presented to future employers or educational institutions as proof of your English ability.
Your ultimate reward will be the improvement in your IELTS score when you take the exam and your acceptance letter confirming your place at the university you've been dreaming about.

Activities
A number of activities are available alongside this course, including the sample activities listed below. Please note these may vary and be chargeable.
The school organises a weekly programme of activities for students to enjoy throughout the year, with a minimum of two activities per week and one excursion every weekend. During July and August, optional afternoon and evening activities are also organised. Typical activities include a variety of sports (football, golf, tennis, swimming, horse riding, rugby and abseiling) along with pub evenings and quizzes, parties, karaoke evenings and country walks. These are a great way to meet fellow students, practise English and make the most of Bath and the surrounding area. Further afield, typical excursions include trips to the famous university city of Oxford; Warwick Castle; Stratford-upon-Avon, the home of Shakespeare; the lively Welsh city of Cardiff; the bustling commercial centre of Bristol, with its shopping area and famous zoo; legendary Stonehenge; delightful villages in the Cotswolds and other surrounding beauty spots. There's certainly never a shortage of things to do, and the social activities manager is always on hand to help you make the most of your time here.

The School - Bath
The main school is located in Trim Street, in the heart of Bath, in an historic 18th century townhouse that used to belong to General Wolfe, who captured Quebec in a famous battle in 1742. The Roman Baths, the Pump Rooms, the Abbey, shops and restaurants are all within a few minutes' walk of the school, and the bus and rail stations are just 5-10 minutes away. The school also uses a second building located on Milsom Street, just two minutes' walk from the main school, which offers more spacious classrooms. Facilites include comfortably furnished classrooms, a library with audio study facilities, a computer centre with wireless connection, a common room with tea and coffee facilities, a TV and video, a courtyard and offices. In total the school has capacity for around 100 students, and daily newspaper and magazines are provided for student use.
