French General Course (20 lessons per week)
Paris (Victor Hugo) School

This is the most popular group course and runs throughout the year at all levels from beginners to advanced. Classes focus on the four main language skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing, combined with aspects of local culture. This course is recommended for those who wish to learn the language at a steady pace and attracts students of all ages and backgrounds. Classes usually take place Monday to Friday in the morning, although in high season they make take place in the afternoon.

Please note! Christmas bookings: there are no courses offered except the General course during the Christmas period (mid December to start of January).

Textbooks are not supplied by the school and you will have to pay for these on arrival (Price approximately: €20-€25).

The Adagio Access Leonard de Vinci is one of a number of Parisian apart-hotels on offer by the school. These are fully-equipped studios for 1 or 2 people that have all the advantages of an apartment with the services of a hotel. This option is perfect for those wishing to be independent and to create their own personal ambiance. You can also prepare your own meals, or have friends round for a visit. More elegant accommodations are available in central Paris for a higher rate; alternatively, there are other budget apart-hotels to the east of Paris, just beyond the Perpherique, some of which are up to 50 Euros per week cheaper but require at least a half-hour journey on the metro. Please enquire if you would like a quote for one of these other options.

This apart-hotel is located 5 minutes from the La Defense - Grande Arche business district and faces the Leonard-de-Vinci University Complex in the suburb of Courbevoie. The apart-hotel is equipped with a heated indoor pool and is very close to public transportation (15-20 minutes by metro to the school). You will have a private bathroom and fully equipped kitchen area. Amenities include bed and bath linen, high-speed internet access, TV, safe, telephone, 24-hour reception and weekly cleaning. Parking, laundry and buffet breakfast are available at an additional charge.

Staying with a host family is without doubt one of the best ways to immerse yourself in the language and culture of a country. They may not speak your language but that's all part of the learning experience - and fun! All host families are carefully selected and located within walking distance, or a short bus ride, of the school. You stay in a single room and receive meals as stated (bed & breakfast, half board or full board). Most families can cater for special dietary requirements, bed linen is provided, and laundry service and towels are sometimes included. A private bathroom is the key benefit to staying in a Superior Room. A key is given to the outside door so you can come and go as you please. If for any reason you do not wish to eat at home please just notify the family in advance. It's great to experience the different cultural aspects of living with a family, such as different food and meal times, but please respect these too. We also suggest that you take some pictures of your family, friends and home as these can act as useful props for discussion.

The host families live in central and western Paris, in Neuilly, Boulogne or Levallois within 35 minutes by metro maximum and close to a metro station. Superior accommodation is usually more central than standard accommodation.

Student Residence

The Residences CISP Kellermann or Ravel

The student residences offered by this school are located are located in the 13th district (Metro station: Porte d’Italie) and in the 12th district (Metro station: Porte de Vincennes) approximately 45 minutes to school by public transport. You will stay in a single room, or double room if travelling with a friend, and receive meals as stated if offered in your location (bed & breakfast, half board or full board). There is no kitchen area for self catering but there is a self service canteen. The rooms are basic with a small bed, desk and small private wetroom. Living areas are shared with other students. We recommend this type of accommodation if you're looking for independence whilst staying in an international environment at a good price.

Please note that you must book at least 3 months in advance in order to reserve a place in the residence.

The School - Paris (Victor Hugo)

This school has taught French to thousands of students from over 80 countries since its foundation in 1976 and still welcomes students all year round in its fantastic location in Paris close to the Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysees and the Place Victor Hugo. It's very easy to visit every major tourist attraction in Paris from the school's location.
The school itself is a traditional Parisian building with large windows and high ceilings. The school also has an annexe just a few minutes away where some classrooms and the library and multimedia learning room are located.
The school is committed to the highest standards of education and has a fully qualified dedicated team of 40 teachers who provide General French courses, one-to-one tuition as well as courses to prepare students for the DELF exams.
The school has a sister school in Nice which offers students the option of combining courses at these two fantastic locations.

Please note that the level you have in French will determine your timetable as this school offers both morning and afternoon classes. This can only be determined after the level test and students can't choose their schedule.
