The school has a long tradition of helping students achieve the necessary language level to gain entry to undergraduate or postgraduate courses at university. They refer to the Academic paper, as required by Higher Education institutions in the UK, when teaching the IELTS preparation courses.

We recommend the intensive course (30 lessons - 22.5 hours per week) with general English in the morning and IELTS preparation as an afternoon option, as this will provide you with a course designed exclusively to get the IELTS grade that you need. The school works closely with a number of universities in the UK and can give advice and assistance if you wish to join an undergraduate or postgraduate course in the UK.

Free lessons are available every day when the school's Teacher Training programmes are running. There are usually 3 different levels, and the lessons give you a great opportunity to practice more English and meet other students.

7 January - 15 March (10 weeks)
18 March - 14 June (13 weeks)
17 June - 23 August (10 weeks)
29 July - 23 August (4 weeks)
10 September - 6 December (12 weeks)

The price does not include the exam fee of approximately GBP 130.

Important Information

Please note that the school is open on the following bank holiday dates but only for testing new students; there are no lessons but students are welcome to use the school's Self Access Centre. There is no refund of fees for lessons missed, and lessons will not be made up.

Bank holidays in 2013: 1 January*; 29 March; 1 April; 6 & 27 May; 26 August; 25 & 26 December*.

*The school is closed during the Christmas/New Year period.

Executive host families are generally professional people themselves, specially selected for the Executive clients, and they provide a private bathroom for the student. Executive Homestay is suitable for company clients on one to one and mini group courses. Accommodation is half board on weekdays and full board at weekends.

Many of the host families are located within walking distance of the centre. The furthest distance is approximately 20 minutes by bus. Accomodation is included from Sunday to Sunday.

The school has a dedicated Accommodation Officer who is also a qualified Welfare Officer available to help students with any issues relating to their accommodation.

The School - Cheltenham

The school was opened in 1990 and since then has established a strong reputation for high quality language training combined with an extremely personal service, paying particular attention to the needs of all clients. The school is located in two beautiful, neighbouring Regency buildings in the town centre.

The main school is a medium-sized school offering the ideal combination of quality teaching and a high degree of personal contact with all the students. It is a beautiful Regency villa built in 1796. Located just 30 metres from the High Street, it is superbly positioned for access to buses, shops, restaurants and pubs.

The Business and Professional Language Training Centre was opened in 1998 to better meet the needs of the many business and professional clients. Here you can meet business people from all over the world, including England, enjoy a training programme designed to meet your needs and at the same time, still enjoy all the extra facilities offered by the main school next door.

The school is accredited by the British Council for the teaching of English as a Foreign Language to Adults.
