"We did the excursion into the Sierra Maestra mountains with horse riding, swimming in a rock pool, lunch - with lots of rum - and really enjoyed it. There was a real community feel there and a sense of being part of everyday Cuban life. The highlight though was meeting the band who my guitar teacher was friends with and joining in their party...I feel very privileged to have been part of it."
