Spanish in Sosúa, Dominican Republic

"I had a really fantastic holiday. The Spanish lessons were great, the school was excellent and the staff were extremely helpful. I would certainly recommend it to friends. It was fantastic sitting in a classroom in a lovely house with the windows open, with palm trees and beautiful plants just outside, and studying Spanish. I felt safe there and the people were so friendly it always took at least twice the time to walk to school by the time everyone had stopped me to chat on the way!

I managed to go out and dance bachata and salsa regularly, and made new friends. The time just flew by and I really wasn't ready to come back. Thank you for all your help - I hope to study Spanish more in the future and will certainly consider Cactus again."

"The school was in a great location and the classes were really good. The teachers were brilliant and they made learning Spanish fun and interesting. I stayed with an Argentine woman, Marta, who was lovely - very friendly and delicious home-cooked food! I'm very glad I did a homestay rather than living in an apartment as I got to speak Spanish much more thanks to Marta. Buenos Aires is very interesting and I'd recommend the tango classes and shows."
