Did you know...
that this year's Olympic emblem portrays a branch from an
olive tree, or kitonos, in reference to the ancient Olympic Games
(first held in Athens in 1896) where the kotinos was the official
award for Olympic champions.

| The victory celebrations
from Euro 2004 will have hardly died down before the famous
Olympic torch opens Athens as venue of the 2004
Olympic Games. A good year for the Greeks it seems, and
certainly one for the rest of the world not to miss.

Copa America 2004: 6th - 25th July
And just when you thought you'd seen enough footie...along comes
Copa America, this year celebrating its 41st tournament in various
cities throughout Peru. With the presence of 12 countries (10 from
South America, plus Mexico and Costa Rica) this is a huge and exciting
event on the international sports circuit, with two of its most
important games taking place in Cusco and Lima:
3rd Place Match: 24th July at 7.30pm,
