Italian for Pasta Masters, June 11th 2005 

I am studying Italian and would love to go to Italy to practice the language, with perhaps some cookery classes. So far the courses I have found on the Internet are for younger people (I am 62) studying for a formal language qualification, which Is not what I am after at all. Mary Wilson, via e-mail 

Cactus  Language (0845 1304775, vvww.cactuslanguage.com) offers two-week Young at Heart Italian courses aimed at over-fifties who want to combine   studying   the   lan­guage   with    learning    more about Italy and its culture. The courses, which are held in Flor­ence, Rome and Elba, include at least 15 Italian lessons a week plus cultural excursions and cookery classes. They cost from £369 per person for the course only. Accommodation is extra; options include stay­ing with a host family or in a private apartment.
