:: Welcome to Mendoza

Whether your idea of fun is to hurl yourself down a ski slope, immerse yourself in history, explore beautiful natural surroundings or simply sit back with a glass of world-class wine, you won’t be disappointed by Mendoza. Situated at the foot of the Andes, near the Chilean border, this is one city whose appeal seems limitless: famous ski resorts, stunning rivers and valleys, rich vineyards and centuries of history are just for starters. Victim of a devastating earthquake in 1861, the city was skillfully reconstructed with low-level buildings, irrigation canals, wide avenues flanked by trees and what today are bustling central squares of locals going about their daily business or stopping for coffee in one of many street-side cafés. You could say this is Argentine life at its best.
