Situated on the south coast of France in Provence, Hyères boasts endless beaches and great opportunities for watersports – windsurfing in particular. It enjoys a fantastic climate, with warm weather most of the year and plenty of sunshine. Unlike its coastal neighbours of Toulon and Marseille, Hyères is relatively small in size, which makes it a safe and friendly place for teenagers to learn French.
The French and sailing course offered in Hyeres is designed for teenagers aged 14 to 17 years and also includes supervised accommodation in purpose-built residences on the ‘La Navarre’ campus, where the French lessons are held. The campus is tranquil, pretty and full of sports facilities for students to enjoy. All meals are taken on the campus, except at the weekend where a packed lunch is provided for excursions, and a free shuttle service is provided to the sailing centre.
