:: Welcome to Belfast

Belfast is the capital city of Northern Ireland. It is situated at the head of Belfast Lough, surrounded by some of the most beautiful countryside in the UK. The city was once famous for its shipbuilding industry, indeed it was Belfast where the fated ocean liner, Titanic, was built, but these days Belfast has a less specific export industry, and seems to be better known as a lively university city.
