One of the five boroughs of New York, Staten Island is located in the southwest part of the city. It’s separated from the rest of New York by New York Bay and is accessible from Manhattan Island by a regular ferry service that runs throughout the day. The English summer school in Staten Island takes place on the campus of Wagner College, which boasts not only beautiful grounds and buildings, but also a fantastic view of Manhattan and Brooklyn. It’s a really pretty and safe environment in which to live, study and eat, which is exactly what the students do, although regular trips over to Manhattan to take in the New York City sights are arranged by the school.
