Seattle is located in the Pacific Northwest region of the US, about 100 miles south of the Canadian border. It is commonly known as the ‘Emerald City’ because of the lush evergreen forests of the beautiful area that surrounds it. As a port, Seattle has a history forged largely from trade and industry, but these days it is better known for its arts and entertainment scene - music in particular. As the birthplace of original grunge superband, Nirvana, it is often referred to as the ‘home of grunge‘, and was actually also the birthplace of Jimi Hendrix.
Students learning English in Seattle have the choice of three types of course - General English, Intensive English and Exam Preparation English.
