A beautiful, upmarket town in the heart of France’s Rhône-Alpes region, Chamonix is best known as a ski resort, although its Alpine hills and meadows make it a prime hiking and biking destination during the summer too. As you’d expect from a popular resort, it offers a wealth of shops, bars and restaurants and caters for a variety of budgets. With stunning Mont Blanc as a backdrop, Chamonix boasts some amazing views, but the town itself is a pretty spot in its own right – the traditional chalets are very well looked after and outside winter you’ll find plenty of colour in the well-kept parks and gardens.
French students in Chamonix will have the choice of a General French, Combined French or Intensive French course. The variety of courses means that all budgets and study requirements are catered for, and that any students who want to spend time on the ski slopes during their French course will be able to do so. For optimum independence, accommodation is offered in either a shared or private apartment.
