The school was opened in 1978, founded on the principles of bringing people of the world together and raising the standards of English language teaching.
The Newcastle school is the only English language school of its kind in the North of England which is open all year round. Their most effective marketing is the recommendations from tens of thousands of satisfied students, and standards are higher now than they have ever been.
It is a friendly English language school with a maximum of 100 students, so there is very much a "personal touch". The school has a video room, a self-access room and a computer room with free internet facilities.
Newcastle is an extremely lively university city with a world-famous reputation for friendliness and excellent public transport, leisure and entertainment facilities. The school is in the heart of the city, close to thousands of shops and theatres, galleries, museums, restaurants, night-clubs and pubs - yet there are also quiet spots nearby, such as Blackfriars, All Saints and Jesmond Dene.
