The school offers a secure, accessible environment and a leisure programme of exciting and challenging activities. Lessons take place in the permanent school building, which has a large common room, gardens with harbour views and snack-bar. The school is located five minutes wallk from the town centre.
Accommodation
Most students stay with local host families. Families are carefully chosen and regularly checked to ensure a high standard of welcome and compatibility with the students. Students are normally placed with families living from 10 to 30 minutes from the school. Host families are asked to write to their student guests before they arrive and meet them at the bus or train station on arrival in Torquay. The student accommodation and welfare co-ordinator is always available to talk to students or their host families.
South Devon
South Devon is one of the most beautiful areas of Great Britain, with a breathtaking coastline, extensive clean beaches, and lovely countryside. Torquay is an attractive town, clean and safe, ideal for tourism all year round, catering for all popular sports. It's located in an area of outstanding natural beauty known as the English Riviera, distinguished by its mild climate, beautiful beaches and dramatic coastline. It offers leisure and cultural activities. The surrounding countryside (Dartmoor National Park) is famous for its beauty.
