:: Welcome to Boquete
Known as the 'Valley of the Flowers and the Eternal Spring', the lush valley of Boquete is justifiably considered to be Panama's eco-tourism capital. Located in the country's western highlands, in the province of Chiriquí, Boquete is found at 1,200m above sea level, nestled among the mountains and surrounded by untouched tropical rainforest. The pristine white beaches of the Pacific lie just one hour away, while the warm waters of the Caribbean lap at the shores of Bocas del Toro three hours the other way. Boquete itself enjoys an enviably sunny, cool mountain climate, and it boasts a comfortable temperature year-round, perfect for the growth of coffee for which it is famous worldwide.
Boquete is situated between the Caldera River and the Barú Volcano, and its proximity to such wonderful natural landscape gives rise to a whole host of activities for the leisure and adventure sports enthusiast. White water rafting down Chiriqui Viejo, hiking the Quetzals Trail, bird and wildlife spotting, harnessing up for the Zip Line Canopy Tour, immersing yourself in the hot springs at Caldera...the opportunities are endless. It is rare to have the chance to be at one with nature whilst indulging in your favourite activities, but in Boquete the two really do go hand in hand.
