How you choose to spend your free time outside of the classroom is just as important as what happens inside the classroom and your language course social life will be a significant part of your experience if you want it to be. Taking a language course abroad gives you the opportunity to immerse yourself in the language, to practise the language with different people and really build your confidence in the language. Many social activities are included in the price of the course and some activities are offered at a preferential rate. Have a question? The activities on offer at most of our schools include taking in the typical tourist attractions and sights that the town, city, or region is known for. However, the schools also offer more personal experiences which will help you understand the culture of the country and the people. In Spain you might be learning to make a paella, in France you may experience the best wine the region has to offer, and in England you can go for fish and chips or Sunday roast with your host family. Even a simple trip to the cinema can improve your language skills and develop your understanding. Whatever activities you choose to participate in you will be guaranteed an opportunity to practise the language you are learning and be given the chance to really get to know the place you are visiting. With a language course you are much less of a tourist and much more of a local.
