Language Camp Parent Information

Language Camp Parent Information – Advice and Guidance

All of the junior programmes we offer are designed specifically for children and teenagers, with their needs, preferences and requirements in mind. With a range of exciting international destinations to choose from every programme is tailored to the specific age group, with age-appropriate classes and activities. Studying abroad will not only give juniors the chance to practise real-world communication skills in another language, it will also give them an experience abroad that will broaden their friendship groups and deepen their cultural understanding.

Unaccompanied Minors Service

We encourage parents to travel with their children however if this is not possible the Unaccompanied Minors (UM) service offered by most airlines is strongly recommended for children under 13. Some airlines will not allow children under the age of 13 to travel alone without this service. The service provides care for the child during the journey by the airline and the school. If you require this service please enquire for the price and procedure as this differs slightly for each school. The fees charged by the airline company will be invoiced to you at the same time as your child’s plane ticket.

Language Camp Accommodation

✅ Choose from host family or residence depending on age and location

✅ All accommodation is selected according to strict criteria

✅ Both options usually involve sharing a room with someone of the same age and sex

✅ Lots of opportunities to practise the local language with people of the same age

✅ Both options offer full board

Pocket Money

We recommend £40 to £50 per week for phone credit, snacks, drinks, and souvenirs or gifts. We also recommend an additional similar amount for optional activities offered by the school or camp.
