Cactus arranges a wide range of language courses aimed at under 18s.

Cactus Junior Language Holidays take place during the summer break and offer a fantastic opportunity to learn a language in a safe, fun and international environment. Language tuition is coupled with varied and exciting activity programmes, which cater for all kinds of tastes.

What you can expect from a junior language holiday:

• Quality language tuition provided by qualified & experienced teachers
• Safe & comfortable accommodation, either in vetted host families or residences
• Healthy food, adapted to your child’s special dietary needs if necessary
• A mix of nationalities, so the practice of the language is guaranteed
• Full in-country care & support, including airport transfers and constant on-site supervision.

These programmes, available for children from 5 to 18, provide a really valuable insight into foreign language, culture, customs and cuisine. They also offer students the chance to make friendships with youngsters from all over the world, and to gain a renewed incentive to practise the language back home - and hopefully breeze through the exams!

Cactus Language and Football camps also take place during the school holidays and offer sports enthusiasts the chance to learn a foreign language while perfecting their football skills, visiting local football stadia and playing matches against local teams of children their own age. These courses offer all the benefits described above but have the added advantage of being associated with some of the most famous football clubs in the World (Manchester United, Liverpool, Barcelona) and have tuition provided by their coaches.

Cactus GCSE and A Level revision courses are designed for UK students in Years 10-13 who want to improve their language skills in preparation for public exams. Programmes has been specially developed with the help of leading independent schools in the UK, and are tailored to the A Level and GCSE syllabus and examination content in accordance with AQA, OCR, and EdExcel examination boards. All the students will be encouraged to participate in class in order to develop their communicative skills as well as do practice exercises directly related to the exam. Two levels of teaching are offered depending on whether the student is taking the Higher tier or Foundation tier. Accommodation is provided with local host families to enable students to practice the language outside the classroom to ensure that what they learn is embedded during their stay.
