Cheltenham is an upmarket spa town that is famous for horse racing, in particular the Gold Cup that is run here every March. Although these days Cheltenham has a wealth of fine hotels, restaurants and expensive boutiques, it has still managed to retain the charm of an 18th-century spa resort. Its historic buildings give it a lovely atmosphere and serve as a great reminder of just how beautiful the city would have been in its Regency prime.
Being a tranquil and compact town, Cheltenham is an attractive place for students learning English; you will experience true 'English' life and culture and have plenty of opportunity to practise the language with the locals. You will make friends with people from all over the world on your course, and the school will organise activities and excursions enabling you to socialise and explore Cheltenham after class. One big advantage of learning English in Cheltenham is your proximity to the Cotswolds hills, classic English countryside that has been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
