All of our Junior Language Camps are designed specifically for children and teenagers, with their needs, preferences and requirements in mind. It is natural to have questions and concerns when sending your child abroad and for that reason we have created our Language Camp Guide for Parents. This guide addresses all the questions you may have as a parent. Ensuring that your child studies in a safe and secure environment, with exceptional pastoral care, and lessons and activities that focus on your child’s potential, is at the heart of all of our programmes.
When attending a Junior Language Camp your child is fully immersed in the language they are learning. Both lessons and activities are conducted in the target language and children are encouraged to use the target language as a lingua-franca when speaking to their classmates and friends. This process accelerates their language acquisition, they are able to use their language knowledge in ‘real life’ scenarios, as well as focusing on grammar, skills and pronunciation during class time.
Our language camps are a welcoming place for students from all over the world and therefore the nationality mix is very diverse. The accommodation at a language camp is a very important part of the camp experience. Whether your child stays on the main campus site, in a host-family or in a residence, the accommodation provides a safe and secure environment.
Parents can choose between one of the three options: on-campus, host-family or student residence. The most common is on-campus where students stay all together on-site, which is a safe and secure environment. All accommodation is selected according to strict criteria and involves sharing a room with someone of the same age and sex.

A wide range of activities take place outside the classroom, fulfilling multiple roles; providing a context in which children can make friends, increasing their opportunities for practising the new language, and developing both their leadership and team work skills. Activities outside of the classroom give students the opportunity to put into practice all they have learnt in the classroom.
